Make your own massage oil

Clients in our Spatiu spa in the Marais, Paris always compliment the massage oil we use during body treatments. They must absolutely know what we use, and since it’s all done in-house, this will teach how to make your own!

Make it

In a 1L bottle, simply blend equal parts olive oil and sunflower oil, then add 50mL essential oil of your choice for a nice smell. Last time we used clary sage and next time we’ll try sweet orange.

Everything at Spatiu is organic, and that goes for this massage oil too. Just round the corner from us is an organic food store called Bien. We buy most of our food from them and, every month or two, also the oils. For the essential oil we use our local, family-owned soap provider Savon Arthur.

Use it

To give yourself or your loved one a nice massage. To hydrate your scalp. To help restore split ends, instead of chopping them. To soothe a sunburn. To moisturise hands. The possibilities are endless!
